Ingleside Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 1.
This morning, just before 6 AM, the Ingleside Police Department responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Waco for a 3-week-old infant that was non-responsive. Upon arrival, Officers began CPR, and the infant was later transported to Northshore ER by Tri County EMS. Unfortunately, the child was pronounced deceased. Due to the age of the infant, and circumstances revealed during the law enforcement response, our Criminal Investigations Division in cooperation with the Texas Rangers, is investigating this suspicious death. The mother and her boyfriend are cooperating. More information will be provided when it becomes available. Please say a prayer for this child and his family, as well as the dispatcher, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and investigators that responded and continue to investigate.
