On Thursday, May 8, former Calallen High School standouts Alaunah Almaraz and Megan Gayer’s current college team, the UT Tyler Patriots, won 4-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Metro State Roadrunners.
The game took place at Irwin Field. This was their first matchup against the Roadrunners this season.
The Patriots’ next game is scheduled for Friday, May 9 at 12 p.m. at Irwin Field against Colorado Christian Cougars.
