Congressman Michael Cloud, who has represented Texas’ 27th District in the U.S. Congress since 2018, took to social media to share various thoughts on personal faith, political priorities, and recent presidential actions. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1975, Cloud now resides in Victoria, Texas, and graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1997.
On April 27, Cloud posted a religious reflection quoting Hebrews 11:6, stating “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him”.
In a tweet dated April 29, Cloud celebrated a political milestone with “100 days of America FIRST “, indicating his support for current political orientation.
Later the same day, Cloud voiced support for former President Trump’s economic initiatives, noting “President Trump was wise to go big and bold in his first 100 days.” He lauded this as a “true course correction to rebuild the U.S. economy on solid ground,” underscoring the negotiation aspects beneficial to the American public.
Michael Cloud’s congressional role was assumed after replacing Blake Farenthold in 2018. Now 47, his life trajectory from Louisiana to Texas and his educational background from Oral Roberts University reflect the varied experiences he brings to his role.
