Senator Adam Hinojosa, who was elected in 2025 as a Republican to represent Texas’ 27th Senate district, recently shared updates on his official Twitter account about activities and initiatives in Brownsville and across Texas.
On January 16, 2026, Hinojosa posted about his participation in a local event: “Today in Brownsville, I was proud to help present a check to @ProyectoJD on behalf of Charter Communications. Grateful for the important work they do to serve families and strengthen our community, and thankful for partners who continue to invest in South Texas!”
Later that same day, he highlighted a public discussion hosted by the Brownsville Chamber: “Today, the Brownsville Chamber, in partnership with the City of Brownsville, hosted an informative discussion with Acting City Manager Alan Guard on how the City raises revenue and allocates those funds. The conversation highlighted innovative approaches the City uses to generate”
On January 17, 2026, Hinojosa shared details from a veterans’ conference attended by his Northern District Director: “Earlier this week, my Northern District Director attended the VFW conference honoring the service and leadership of our veterans from across Texas. She met State Commander Dave Walden and connected with veterans continuing to serve their communities. Thank you to @GregAbbott_TX”
Hinojosa succeeded Morgan LaMantia as senator for Texas’ 27th district after winning election in 2025.
