Senator Adam Hinojosa, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 27th Senate district, has recently used his social media platform to commemorate several events and highlight the contributions of various groups and individuals.
On October 13, 2025, Hinojosa marked Columbus Day with a message reflecting on the historical significance of Christopher Columbus’s journey. He stated, “Today we celebrate Columbus Day, honoring the courage and determination of Christopher Columbus. His historic voyage across the Atlantic in 1492 marked the beginning of a new era of exploration and connection between worlds. Columbus’s faith and persistence opened the path that” (October 13, 2025).
Later that evening, Hinojosa recognized the role of small businesses and local Chambers of Commerce in Texas’s economy. He wrote, “Texas is home to over 3.5 million small businesses, and our local Chambers of Commerce are the backbone of that success. As we celebrate Chamber of Commerce Week, we thank every chamber and business leader working to keep Texas the best state for business! #ChamberOfCommerceWeek” (October 13, 2025).
On October 14, 2025, Hinojosa paid tribute to Charlie Kirk on Remembrance Day. In his post, he said, “Today is Charlie Kirk Remembrance Day, a time to honor his faith, dedication to civic engagement, and defense of free speech. May his example inspire us to serve others with conviction and purpose. Join me in prayer for his family and for our nation. #RememberCharlieKirk” (October 14, 2025).
Hinojosa assumed office after winning the 2025 election for Texas’s 27th Senate district, succeeding Morgan LaMantia.
