On July 4, 2025, Senator Hinojosa expressed his sentiments about Independence Day by emphasizing the importance of freedom and honoring past sacrifices. He stated, “Today we celebrate the birth of our great nation and the freedoms that make America the greatest country in the world. On this Independence Day, let us honor the sacrifices of those who came before us and recommit ourselves to preserving liberty, protecting our values.”
Later that day, Hinojosa addressed a tragic situation affecting Texas communities. He extended his condolences and support to those impacted by severe flooding in the Texas Hill Country and along the Guadalupe River. In his message posted on July 4, 2025, he said, “Our hearts are with the families and communities affected by the tragic flooding in the Texas Hill country and along the Guadalupe River. The reports of lives lost and loved ones missing are heartbreaking. The state is actively responding, and we stand in prayer and support.”
The following day, on July 5, 2025, Senator Hinojosa highlighted a community event in Starbase—a new city known for its connection to space exploration companies—where he participated in their inaugural Fourth of July celebration. He remarked on this experience by saying “Last night, we joined the new city of Starbase for their first ever 4th of July celebration! It was a fantastic community event, and I was proud to be part of it. Thank you to Starbase for hosting; we look forward to many more events like this in the future!”
