Senator Adam Hinojosa, a Republican representing Texas’ 27th Senate district, shared updates on legislative activities and community engagement in a series of posts between September 3 and September 4, 2025.
On September 3, Hinojosa highlighted outreach efforts in his district. He stated, “My district staff and my wife Victoria spent the day visiting schools in Kleberg and Kenedy Counties, delivering Ten Commandments posters and enjoying meaningful conversations with dedicated leaders and staff. We are grateful for the warm welcome and the chance to support our” (September 3, 2025).
Later that evening, Hinojosa addressed legislative proceedings regarding House Bill 18. He wrote, “I just laid out House Bill 18 on the Senate floor. While members of the minority party may choose to break quorum, they should never be able to profit from it. This bill limits fundraising and bans political expenditures by members who flee the state and stop our legislative” (September 4, 2025).
The following day, he provided an update on the conclusion of a special legislative session: “Very early this morning, before 2 am, the Texas Senate recessed sine die, concluding the 89th Legislature’s second called special session. This session delivered real results for Texans, supporting flood victims in the Hill Country, strengthening emergency preparedness, and” (September 4, 2025).
Hinojosa was elected to represent Texas’ 27th Senate district in 2025 after succeeding Morgan LaMantia.
