CITY OF PORTLAND: Free COVID-19 Testing In Portland

City Of Portland issued the following announcement on May 6.

The National Guard & State of Texas set up a mobile testing site in Portland

Dates: May 7-10, 2020 (Thursday - Sunday)

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (each day)

Place: Portland Community Center (2000 Billy G. Webb Dr.)

Cost: FREE

Testing is done by appointment only!

To register for testing and make an appointment:

call 512-883-2400 or visit txcovidtest.org.

If you feel you’ve been affected by COVID-19, call for a screening and make an appointment!

You must call to make an appointment at least 24 hours prior to the time you’d like to be tested.

Example: If you want to be tested tomorrow, call today. If you want to be tested on Friday, you must call Thursday. And so on.

The testing facility staff begin taking calls at 9:00 a.m. each day starting May 6 at 9:00 a.m.

The sooner you call the better! 

NOTE: All first responders, health care field employees, and at-risk populations defined by the CDC may be tested regardless if symptoms are present or not. 

Symptoms of COVID-19:

  • Fever &/or chills
  • Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Body aches or pains
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Headaches
  • Nausea, vomiting, &/or diarrhea
  • Nasal congestion
  • Loss of taste &/or smell
