According to a news release by the City of Corpus Cristi, the city is moving forward to implement the voter-approved Bond 2020 Program.
The Bond 2020 Program will invest $75 million in 42 infrastructure projects. All three propositions passed on Nov. 3 with over 70% voter approval reflecting the public’s confidence in the city’s ability to deliver essential city services and infrastructure projects. The propositions included projects for streets, parks and public safety improvements.
The city has released a Request for Qualifications for a mass selection of design service engineering consultants for the Bond 2020 program’s 22 street projects. The City Council will consider these 22 contracts for approval in February 2021, with the design phase expected to begin in March.
The RFQ for design services for the Bond 2020 Program’s Parks and Facilities projects is expected to be released this month, and will also include other projects within the city’s approved annual Capital Improvements Plan. The City Council will consider these contracts for approval in March with the design phase expected to begin in April.
