Sinton ISD schools Education: 1,654 Hispanic students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 1,654 Hispanic students enrolled in Sinton ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Sinton ISD schools welcomed 2,034 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 81.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Sinton ISD roughly covers schools within San Patricio County and has a main office in Sinton.

Among the five schools in Sinton ISD schools, Sinton High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 497 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
