Later that day, he commented on a political matter involving the current administration. On November 26, 2024, he stated that "The Biden-Harris Administration’s taxpayer-funded attempt to lock up a political opponent was stopped by the American people on November 5th."

In another post dated November 27, 2024, Congressman Cloud discussed an international issue concerning Mark Swidan. He wrote about Swidan's release after being detained in China for over a decade under harsh conditions. Cloud noted it as "a day of immense relief and celebration for Mark Swidan, his family, and all Americans who have prayed and fought for his release."
