Congressman Michael Cloud, representing Texas' 27th district since 2018, has recently shared his views on various legislative and political developments through a series of tweets. Cloud, who succeeded Blake Farenthold in Congress, is known for his focus on firearm regulations and border policies. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1975, he currently resides in Victoria and holds a degree from Oral Roberts University.

On January 22, 2025, Congressman Cloud tweeted about the No REGISTRY Rights Act: "The No REGISTRY Rights Act will require the ATF to delete the 920M+ firearm records in its database and allow FFL's to destroy your transaction records when they go out of business."

Later that day, he commented on the state of American employment under President Trump: "American jobs are already coming back under President Trump!"

In another tweet posted on January 22, 2025, Congressman Cloud praised President Trump's early actions regarding border policy: "It's only Day 3, and President Trump is already delivering on what the vast majority of Americans voted for at the border. Congress should follow!"
