Congressman Michael Cloud, representing Texas' 27th district, has been vocal on various national issues through his social media platform. Serving in Congress since 2018, Cloud has addressed concerns ranging from fiscal policies to education reform.

On February 5, 2025, Congressman Cloud highlighted the issue of national debt in a tweet stating that "The national debt reached $36 trillion last year, yet Congress continues to spend without accounting for the full cost of legislation and misleading taxpayers. My bill forces Congress to consider interest payments before approving ANY new spending."

Later the same day, he expressed criticism towards federal financial practices by thanking prominent figures and asserting that "Thanks to @elonmusk and @DOGE, Americans are finally seeing where grants are going from USAID and the federal government and it’s outrageous. We're finding out now that our federal government has just been a money laundering scheme to help support and promote leftist ideologies…"

In another post made shortly after, Congressman Cloud turned his attention to educational issues, tweeting about systemic failures within schools: "Our Schools are failing our kids. The Dept. of Education keeps getting more money, yet student performance is flat or declining. Meanwhile, administrative jobs are growing, and fewer teachers are in the classroom. Change needs to be made."
