The following day, February 18, 2025, he expressed his opinion on immigration policy and enforcement resources. He stated: "Congress needs to get Tom Homan and ICE the resources they need to continue to expand their deportation operation and get the results that the American people voted for."

Later that same day, Congressman Cloud commented on Kash Patel's role in uncovering corruption within intelligence agencies. He remarked: "Kash Patel has not only already uncovered a lot of the mass corruption within our intelligence agencies, but he was a political target of them himself.
