Congressman Michael Cloud, representing Texas' 27th district since 2018, has recently shared a series of tweets discussing legislative proposals and international relations. Cloud, who succeeded Blake Farenthold in Congress, is known for his active engagement on social media platforms.

On March 17, 2025, Congressman Cloud tweeted about a proposal to "prohibit the federal government from canceling current agreements with state and local police agencies unless a solid reason is provided." He emphasized that agencies would have the opportunity to challenge such decisions.

In another tweet posted on the same day, he quoted the National Police Association expressing confidence in a bill's potential impact: "We have confidence that if this bill is passed, it would foster greater cooperation between ICE and local law enforcement agencies, which will ultimately aid in keeping our communities safe."

The following day, March 18, 2025, Congressman Cloud highlighted former President Trump's stance on international diplomacy. He noted that Trump is focused on the lives that could be saved through diplomatic efforts between Ukraine and Russia. In his words: "President Trump is the only one talking about the lives that could be saved through a negotiated ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia."
