Congressman Michael Cloud, representing Texas' 27th district, shared a series of tweets highlighting various topics from space exploration to border security. Congressman Cloud has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2018 after succeeding Blake Farenthold.

On March 18, 2025, Congressman Cloud expressed his admiration for astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunni Williams upon their return to Earth. He stated: "Welcome home, Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunni Williams! Back in October, my office had the honor of speaking with them from Houston and I can say firsthand—these are true American heroes. Congrats @NASA on another safe return and thank you @SpaceX for bringing our astronauts…"

In a tweet posted on March 19, 2025, Congressman Cloud reflected on a conversation he had with astronauts while they were aboard the International Space Station (ISS). He recounted: "While aboard the ISS, I asked @Astro_Suni, @AstroHague and Butch Wilmore what their favorite ship was — Shuttle? Dragon? Soyuz, or Starliner? They said the one bringing them home. Glad to have you back on Earth. Thanks for your service."

Later that day, Congressman Cloud addressed issues related to border security under President Biden's administration.
