Washington, D.C. – On May 23, Congressman Michael Cloud (TX-27) was awarded the Institute for Legislative Analysis’ “Champion of Limited Government Award” for his role in supporting conservative small government policies and fighting back against the Washington Bureaucracy. The Institute measures how well every federal and state lawmaker in America adheres to the limited government principles of the U.S. Constitution. 

Congressman Cloud released the following statement:

“I want to thank the ILA for their gracious award, and more importantly for their critical work in supporting small government policies,” Rep. Cloud said. “Our government is more accountable and efficient when it is limited in scope and size. For America to be a nation of the people, by the people, for the people, we need elected leaders willing to stand up against the Washington swamp and engaged grassroots conservatives to hold them accountable. I look forward to continuing the fight to shrink Washington and grow America in the days ahead.”
