The Corpus Christi Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a four-acre grass fire near State Highway 361 and Newport Pass Road. They were assisted by fire crews from Flour Bluff and Port Aransas. The fire incident has concluded, and one firefighter was transported to a local hospital for possible smoke inhalation.
At approximately 4:42 p.m. today, the Corpus Christi Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a distress call about a potential drowning incident near beach marker 86. Bystanders at the scene pulled an adult male from the water, and City of Corpus Christi lifeguards initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) efforts. Fire department paramedics took over patient care upon arrival, continuing life-saving measures and providing advanced life support.
