CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – At approximately 4:42 p.m. today, the Corpus Christi Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a distress call about a potential drowning incident near beach marker 86. Bystanders at the scene pulled an adult male from the water, and City of Corpus Christi lifeguards initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) efforts. Fire department paramedics took over patient care upon arrival, continuing life-saving measures and providing advanced life support.
The patient was subsequently transported to Bay Area Hospital, with paramedics successfully regaining a pulse during transit. The patient remains at Bay Area Hospital and is reported to be in critical but stable condition. No additional information is available at this time.
