Operation Heat Help Applications Are Now Available

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Winter is right around the corner, and it’s time to prepare for colder temperatures. The City of Corpus Christi Gas Department and the Utility Business Office are proud to provide Operation Heat Help assistance to those in need for the coming season.

This annual program offers financial assistance to qualifying customers by covering up to $100 (per household) for the gas portion of their utility bill from November 2023 through February 2024.

CC Gas is currently accepting applications until March 31, 2024. To qualify for help in paying your natural gas bill, you must meet the following income guidelines: 

 

In addition to the above income guidelines, the individual applying for assistance must be the utility account holder. If you meet these guidelines, you can apply online at www.cctexas.com/OperationHeatHelp or in person at the CC Gas Department’s temporary office address at 2820 S. Padre Island Drive, Ste. 114, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78415. Application submissions should be emailed to SusannahU2@cctexas.com  or delivered to the CC Gas Department temporary office.

When you visit the Gas Department, please be prepared to provide the following documents:

•           Current utility bill.

•           Proof of identification for all household members.

•           Proof of all household income for the past 30 days, including wages, unemployment benefits, child support, TANF, SSI,

            etc.

Please remember that this assistance is only for the natural gas portion of the utility bill. Funds are limited, and awards are given to those who qualify on a first-come, first-served basis.
