CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City's Solid Waste Services Department and Code Enforcement Division have collaborated with the Texas General Land Office (TGLO) and Texas Parks and Wildlife to promote the Vessel Turn-In Program (VTIP).

VTIP is a free program designed for Corpus Christi residents to properly dispose of unwanted or inoperable boats, wave runners, jet skis, or boat trailers safely and legally.

Vessels can be disposed of year-round at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station located at Highway 286 and Ayers Street.  Hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Vessel turn-in guidelines:

• Must complete Proof of Ownership or Release of Interest/Ownership waivers on-site.
• All oil, gas, and batteries must be removed from vessels.
• Boats need to be clear of all waste and debris.
• Only vessels 26 feet in length or less are accepted.
• Larger boats can be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
