Port Aransas ISD Education: 546 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 546 students enrolled in Port Aransas ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 4.2% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 55.1% of them were boys, and 44.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 74.4% of the Port Aransas ISD total enrollment.

Port Aransas ISD roughly covers schools within Nueces County with its main office in Port Aransas.

Among the three schools in Port Aransas ISD, Olsen Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 227 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
