He also questioned the accountability of local mayors in sanctuary cities regarding federal aid. "Americans are fed up with their tax dollars funding FEMA benefits for illegal immigrants—while local mayors of these sanctuary cities can’t even account for the tens of millions in federal aid that's been sent to their own cities."

He noted what he perceived as an inconsistency in applauding monetary aid without advocating for peace efforts. "It was odd to me that Democrats applauded sending more money to Ukraine but NOT for peace for Ukraine last night. It's mind-boggling and tells you everything you need to know."
