Later that day, Cloud addressed changes in bipartisan support for immigration policies. He questioned why Democrats are not supporting measures previously endorsed by former President Obama. He attributed this shift to what he termed "Trump derangement syndrome," referencing reactions during President Trump's address to Congress. "Stopping illegal immigration used to be a bipartisan effort. Why is the left suddenly not embracing policies Obama supported? If we look at what happened last night during the President’s address to Congress the answer seems to be Trump derangement syndrome."
