Congressman Michael Cloud recently engaged with his social media audience by addressing various political issues, rooted mainly in executive policy and legislative action. Currently representing Texas's 27th district, Cloud has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2018. He succeeded Blake Farenthold in the position.

On April 9, 2025, Cloud posed the question, "Should Congress get to work codifying Trump’s Executive Orders like Dismantling DEI for good?" This tweet suggests increasing legislative action to solidify executive orders into law, particularly those related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Following up on his stance, Cloud prompted action with another tweet the same day, "Pass the Dismantle DEI Act!" accompanied by a link, advocating for support in passing legislation aligned with his position on DEI matters.

Later, in another post, Cloud discussed the structure of the federal government. He expressed his viewpoint that "Anyone serving in the Executive Branch who doesn’t serve at the pleasure of the President is, in my view, part of an unconstitutional fourth branch of government." This statement was made in relation to his appearance on NEWSMAX, indicating his perspective on executive responsibilities and government structure.

Cloud, who was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, resides in Victoria and graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
