The Port of Corpus Christi's Foreign Trade Zone has received recognition as being the best in the nation.
The selection was made by Site Selection magazine after continuous efforts by the port to provide economic development and job growth in the region.
“The ranking from Site Selection Magazine is an affirmation of the economic development activities by the Port of Corpus Christi over the past five years and the large, job-creating investments by our customers in our region," Port of Corpus Christi CEO Sean Strawbridge said. "Reaching this milestone is a testament to the growing investability in our region and the great working relationships we have cultivated with our customers and the surrounding communities.”
The top spot is among 257 Foreign Trade Zones in the United States, making the recognition even more impressive. The effect of the Port of Corpus Christi on the Coastal Bend region is enormous from an economic standpoint.
