CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City of Corpus Christi Planning & Community Development Department is creating a new Bayside Area Development Plan and invites members of the community to an upcoming open house event to learn more about the draft plan and provide feedback.

This plan will guide future development, policy initiatives, programs, and public investments in Bayside neighborhoods and must be based on public input.

The Bayside study area covers 16 square miles between South Padre Island Drive (SH 358) and Ocean Drive, between the Oso Bay and the Crosstown Expressway (SH 286), and as far north as Morgan Avenue. Popular landmarks in the study area include Six Points, the Port-Ayers commercial area, Del Mar College - Heritage Campus, TAMU-CC, Oso Beach Municipal Golf Course, and Sunrise and La Palmera Malls.

Staff will be available to answer questions and collect feedback during the open house. Members of the public are also invited to give their input through the online survey available on the project website, www.creatingcc.com/bayside, beginning September 26 through October 23. The draft plan will also be available on the project website.

Reasonable accommodations are provided upon request and per the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please call 361-826-3124 in advance for assistance or to request a reasonable accommodation.
