CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning Friday, September 22, a contractor for the City will conduct emergency utility and stormwater repairs at the intersection of Morgan Avenue and Hiawatha Street.
Traffic will be temporarily detoured to Old Brownsville Road. A temporary road closure along Morgan Avenue between Guatemozin Street and Virginia Avenue will be implemented to accommodate the temporary detour. Customers who will be affected by an interruption in water service have been notified by Corpus Christi Water.
Residents will have local access up to the closure, and detour signs will be in place to guide traffic around closure. Construction is expected to last 7 days.
Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution in the area and to follow all posted traffic signs.
