Congressman Michael Cloud, representing Texas' 27th district since 2018, has recently shared his perspectives on several key issues through a series of tweets. Known for his conservative stance, Cloud addressed topics ranging from border security to military funding policies and firearm regulations.

On January 31, 2025, Congressman Cloud expressed criticism towards the Democratic Party's stance on border security and their rhetoric regarding public safety. He stated, "This is the same party that calls concerned parents 'domestic terrorists' but opened up our borders to criminals. Democrats calling for violence in our streets is not going to slide in 2025."

Later that day, he commented on a policy change by the Pentagon concerning abortion funding. Cloud supported the decision to discontinue coverage of travel costs for abortions within the military, emphasizing fiscal responsibility. He remarked, "A great move in the right direction. Taxpayer dollars should NEVER fund abortion—especially not in our military. The Pentagon is right to scrap Biden’s policy of covering travel costs for abortions."

On February 1, 2025, Congressman Cloud announced a legislative initiative alongside Senator Lee aimed at modifying existing regulations on firearm suppressors. The announcement was made via a tweet stating: "Rep. Cloud, Sen. Lee Introduce Bill To Remove Firearm Suppressor Regulations."
