Agua Dulce ISD Education: 400 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 400 students enrolled in Agua Dulce ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50% of them were girls, and 50% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 74.5% of the Agua Dulce ISD total enrollment.

Agua Dulce ISD roughly covers schools within Nueces County with its main office in Agua Dulce.

Among the two schools in Agua Dulce ISD, Agua Dulce High School recorded the highest enrollment of 222 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
