There were 26 students enrolled in Ramirez CSD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 40.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.8% of them were boys, and 46.2% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 100% of the Ramirez CSD total enrollment.

Ramirez CSD roughly covers schools within Duval County with its main office in Ramirez.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
