There were 2,805 students enrolled in Kingsville ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.4% of them were boys, and 47.6% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 84.5% of the Kingsville ISD total enrollment.

Kingsville ISD roughly covers schools within Kleberg County with its main office in Kingsville.

Among the five schools in Kingsville ISD, H. M. King High School recorded the highest enrollment of 915 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
