Riviera ISD Education: 479 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 479 students enrolled in Riviera ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 10.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 54.9% of them were boys, and 45.1% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 74.5% of the Riviera ISD total enrollment.

Riviera ISD roughly covers schools within Kleberg County with its main office in Riviera.

Among the two schools in Riviera ISD, Kaufer High School recorded the highest enrollment of 280 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
