There were 15 white students enrolled in Driscoll ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Driscoll ISD schools welcomed 277 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 5.4% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Driscoll ISD roughly covers schools within Nueces County and has a main office in Driscoll.

Driscoll Elementary & Middle School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 15 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
