Congressman Michael Cloud, representing Texas's 27th district since 2018, recently shared his thoughts on significant historical and political events through a series of tweets. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and an alumnus of Oral Roberts University, Cloud has been serving in the U.S. Congress after succeeding Blake Farenthold.

On December 7, 2024, Congressman Cloud commemorated the anniversary of a historic event. He stated, "Today marks the 83rd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, a day that forever changed the course of history. As we reflect on this pivotal moment, we pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who stood in defense of our nation."

Two days later, on December 9, 2024, Cloud expressed his satisfaction with a recent legal outcome involving Daniel Penny. He remarked, "Praise God! Justice has prevailed. Daniel Penny acted courageously to defend innocent lives, and this case should have never been brought against him. I’m grateful for this outcome but it’s a stark reminder of the dangerous lengths left-wing DA's will go to weaponize our justice."

Later that same day, Congressman Cloud commented on political responsibilities following President Trump's election victory. He asserted that GOP Senators need to support Trump's nominees by stating: "President Trump was elected with a mandate by the American people to lead and Make America Great Again. With that comes nominating individuals who align with his vision to get that done. GOP Senators who rubber-stamped Biden’s disastrous picks must now stand firm in supporting…"
