On March 24, 2025, Congressman Cloud commented on the current state of gas prices in the United States. He attributed the lower prices to changes in presidential policies over recent years. "The reason for lower gas prices isn’t a mystery or a secret. The last four years we had a president who was at war with American energy—now, we once again have one that is unleashing it."

In another tweet dated March 25, 2025, Cloud discussed fiscal policy and criticized previous spending practices. He credited Republicans for passing a continuing resolution that allows former President Trump to reduce what he described as wasteful expenditures. "Because Republicans passed the CR earlier this month, President Trump now has the flexibility to cut even more wasteful spending—just like he promised." He further stated that taxpayer funds would no longer support non-governmental organizations promoting certain agendas.

Later on March 25, 2025, Congressman Cloud expressed his views on reactions to a Signal chat involving targeted actions against terrorists. He contrasted this with past events under President Biden's administration. "The left’s outrage over a Signal chat is astonishing... They didn't have this level of concern when 13 Americans died because of Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal.."
